Flock O' Seagulls!

Hi! I'm Shay (Shayla, technically, but I prefer to be called Shay, for many reasons.) Here are some important things to know before friending me!

-I'm 20 years old and have lived in Rhode Island my entire life. These things may bother you! ...probably more the age thing than the Rhode Island thing. I'd understand if it was the Rhode Island thing, though. You're probably just jealous of our Big Bug. I bet none of your states have a bug that big.

-Bandom is my primary fandom right now. Pete Wentz and his boys own so many pieces of my heart. (And by boys I mean the boys of like, every bandom related band you can think of, probably.)

-More importantly, I also adore the girls of bandom. Greta, Vicky T, Jac, Audrey, Keltie, Ashlee, you name it. All of them. You don't have to love any of these things in order to be welcome here, you just have to respect the fact that I do.

-I'm rapidly growing involved in the Disney fandom, by which I mean Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, and Zac/Vanessa. It's a ridiculous amount of fun loving these dorks. Again, you don't need to care about the Disney stars to be friends with me, but I'd appreciate any negative opinions kept to yourself. Yes, I realize it's made for children. No, I don't care.

-I have a girlfriend/almost fiancée (sayingwhatiam) and I talk about her a lot. Probably more than is necessary. It gets boring, I'm sure, for 99% of you. We met online and bonded over bandom in 2007, went to a ton of concerts and sleepovers together, spent four months being hopelessly in love with each other and convinced that the relationship would never happen, and finally got our shit together in September 2007. We've been happily together ever since.

-My dad is my burner buddy. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA GOD THAT SOUNDS LIKE A DRUG REFERENCE. It is not! It's a video game reference, actually, which is much cooler. I'm kind of ridiculously close with my dad and talk about him a ton. I can't help it if he says awesome things like "Hey, Ryan Ross looks like a boy now!" (Though it is my fault he even knows who Ryan Ross is, poor guy.)

-My mom died when I was ten years old. Which, wow Shay, way to be the downer at the party! But it's always weird when I start being emo about her and realize that some people might have no idea what happened. SO I'M JUST GETTING THIS OUT OF THE WAY.

-I love orange juice. A lot.

	An oooold ex-friend apparently just started up a new journal, and she was one of my first LJ friends, waaaaaay back before VM. 	Ahh! Friend-locking??? Lullabylucky told me about you, because whenever she reads your entrys she goes on and on! lol, anyway! 	I just read your story "New Life" that you wrote in like 2005 and i was on the floor laughing the WHOLE time i was reading it. It is THE funniest stories i've ever read.
